17 New Paperstocks Now Available!

Don’t just choose a color for your wedding; instead, work with an entire palette, which is much less limiting and adds tons of depth and richness to your wedding aesthetics. We just received 17 new paper stocks to work with — all of which are neutral and likely a beautiful complement to your current choices.

Try adding one as an envelope liner, or maybe a matte behind your invite. Our favorite, Iced Almond, a beautifully rich and grounding taupe that gives earthy glamour to your whole look.

Who Cares If Guests Eventually Throw Wedding Invitations Away? They Should Still Be Spectacular!

We’ve heard it a million times.  “Who cares? They’re just going to be thrown away, anyways.”

Here’s the problem with that – you could really say that about any wedding-related thing, or at least apply the sentiment in some way – that the functionality of every specific wedding detail is only going to be paid attention for a short time. Consider your dress. You’re only going to wear it once, and then hide it away. That doesn’t mean you should pick one that you don’t love!

And, if you think about it, your guests will be holding on to your invites for at least six weeks. So – really, it’s the one thing they’ll have from your wedding the longest. It’s the only part your guests will pick up over and over again, read, plan and answer questions with.

Your invitations are important and create an impression.  They set the tone for what your guests should expect for your entire wedding event.

So, let us MAKE. THEM. PERFECT! And this can be achieved in so many ways that are personal to you, your style and theme. One of our favorite examples: Our bride Kara wanted to incorporate a butterfly in honor of her late grandmother. Building one right into the design helped, but then wrapping the invite package with a lace belt and securing it with a butterfly pin took the design to the next level.

Another couple we adore got engaged in Italy, near a fountain known for its bees.  We incorporated the symbolic honey bees into their custom design. Guests were then directed to their wedding website that told the story of the bees.

Another client we worked with was as Irish as they come, complete with birthdays on March 16 & 17, and wanted their guests to share in their Irish pride.  Their guests were blown away with the culturally themed wedding invitations. It meant something personal, not only to the bride and groom, but the family as a whole.

Let us help you incorporate the personal details that matter – rich with the story, love, history, and meaning for you as a couple.

Our Standard 5-Piece Wedding Invitation Package Includes So Much More Than 5 Pieces

Visit any our online competitors’ websites and you’ll see that each thing you add to your cart, like every invitation necessity, will add to your total. And should you need a large quantity of wedding invitations, your shipping is a significant cost.

At Blue Envelope we like to streamline your entire wedding invitation purchasing process by offering all of the necessities in one cost. So when you work with us here’s what you’ll get for a base price of $5.25/invitation, based on the order of 10o or more invitations [besides the most incredible wedding invitations] :

The actual wedding invitation
This here is something you can’t go without. It tells your guests where to be and when, as well as the most crucial detail: who is getting hitched.

Reception card
Your reception card leads guests to the party. Who wants to miss that? Surely not us, and we hope you and your guests don’t either.

RSVP Postcard
This is a really crucial piece, as it will tell you what you need to tell your caterer – how many people are coming and, if you offer meal choices, who’s eating what. We start with a postcard for efficiency, but can certainly change to a card with an envelope. That’s up to you and your budget.

Enclosure Card
This card is where you tell your guests everything else you need them to know: hotel accommodations, transportation and parking 411, breakfast availability, etc. It’s a common courtesy you can offer your guests for traveling and sharing in your wedding day.

Outer Envelope
We print your envelope with your return address in a style and design that is complementary to your entire suite. If you so choose to purchase guest addressing, we will also print that on your envelopes.

3 Designs
Every client gets up to three custom wedding invitation designs, based on the style, theme and aesthetics you share with us when we meet. You are able to mix and match what you like from each custom design into the final wedding invitation.

Our Guidance
You also get us, Blue Envelope designers, advisors, friends, who are knowledgeable in all things wedding stationery related. We will lead you through every part of the wedding invitation process, making this easy and stress-free.

Beautiful, Custom Invitations in 4 Easy Steps. Seriously.

We know, it sounds impossible that a four-step process will materialize custom wedding invitations for your day. But it’s true. Working with Blue Envelope is so easy that ordering online seems ludicrous; because even there, it takes four clicks to just get to invitations in your budget and style.

So here’s our four-step breakdown:

1. Call and schedule a meeting

When you show up, make sure to have your budget and invitation quantity [not guest total, because remember that many times one invite will serve two or more guests]. Blue Envelope experts will talk with you about your style, budget, theme and level of formality and show you different paper stock options, colors, accessories and printing styles to learn where to take your design and wedding invitation package aesthetics.

2. Sign a contract, make a deposit

Once you determine which papers and accessories are your favorite and most fitting to your wedding, we write them into a contract with a complete total, which includes assembly of everything and any auxiliary pieces you’d like to order that complement your invite — i.e., seating cards, programs, thank you notes, etc. There are no surprises in what to expect in your final design or cost, because it is written clearly in a contract you take home. We get a deposit and then begin designing for you.

3. Design and approval

Your contract will include three dates: when we will have designs to you, when we will have everything to the printer and when your whole suite will be available for pick up. That first date is crucial, because it initiates an entire plan.

So, by the promised date, we email you up to five custom designs, based on what you tell us you like from our samples, show us from your online collections and describe to us as your preferred “look.”

From there, you email to us your feedback. For example, “I like the font of our names on Design 1, but the graphic on Design 2 and the body copy font on Design 3.” So we combine those elements that you like into one design and send it back to you for approval. Once we get that, we create the rest of the suite [the reception, RSVP and enclosure cards and envelope] and send to you for changes and approval.

4. We take care of the rest

Once we get your approval on the full suite, we make sure all your products are ordered and every piece is print-ready. Then we get it to print, pick it up, assemble the pieces, print your envelopes with the return address, and if purchased, your guests’ addresses in a complementary style, and package it up for you to come grab.

As you see, we walk you through each of these four easy steps, providing guidance, options and flexibility. We ensure that, like everything else you pick for your wedding, these wedding invitations are those of your dreams and custom-fit to you and your fiancé.
